I need help! 18" Solo X enclosure

I am building the box for my sub, it is an 18" solo x being powered by one kx2500.1,

The build is in a 3000gt so it is a hatchback, the internal measures of my box is 15x16x36=5 cubes. The kicker manual states the port area should be .5 cubes for 35hz so the internal dimension would be 15x3x14.5.

My question is how would I be able to do 2 ports instead of one, because I would like to the the sub in the middle of the box and a port on each side

Or what if I was to use two smaller ports instead of 1. The manual calls for 1 port of 60 sq inches 14.5 inches long, can I use two smaller ports, each at 30 sq inches and 14.5 inches long. would the tuning be any diff?
