Hello everyone.

Im having trouble with my thumbnail previews.

I have tried everything (clearing/rebuilding thumbnail cache, turned on thumbnail preview, checked/unchecked what I needed to)

Ive done this numerous times and yet i still cannot preview thumbnails. Whether it be jpegs, gifs, avis, wmvs etc.

Can anyone help?

I tried all of this^

-unchecked always show icons and never thumbnails

-erased/rebuilt thumbnail cache

could it be a registry issue?

Are you having problems with pictures in general? Like on the net? Possibly a video card issue?

only when I try to view my folders

but when I upload pics to imageshack or photobucket they show fine

"Always show icons, never thumbnails" checkbox in Folder Options is OFF.

I've tried emptying the thumbnails' cache folder (via Disk Cleanup and manually).

Visual Effects (Performance Options) are set to best appearance.

The View settings in Explorer are set to Large Icons, but this is irrelevant since the thumbnails do the same thing regardless of any settings.

When I hit F5, occasionaly some of the thumbnails reappear for a second, then disappear again, being replaced by the default icons.

(I erased thumbnails by mistake when I did a system cleanup)

Go to the control panel and then to folder options. Bottom right restore default.
