I Need Capacitor Help!

Hey everyone. I offered to install a pair of subwoofers in my friends car, but it turns out that she needs a capacitor as well! I have no experience with these at all since I've never used them and I'm wondering how difficult they are to install. Is this something that I can do?

Why does she need a capacitator?, if she dosent have the power, then she needs a high output alternator, a capacitator only puts a larger strain on the alternator, or another option is another battery, capacitators are useless, everyone on this board will tell you that...

She had a bad case of the dimming headlights with her last system and I guess they decided that was the easiest way of solving the problem without a major overhaul.

power wire goes to the cap then to the amp. then u would do ground to cap then to amp. the cap goes between the wires. u should help him with the big 3. that will help. power caps dont do anythi

some caps u have to charge them up first. but u should do the big 3 it will be about the same price and the big 3 works. im all most siting at 15 volts now. no extra batts

Ok, this is what I needed to know, doesn't sound like anything major. I'll suggest the big three, as that is what I'd do personally, but if they want to go with the cap I guess that's their choice. Thanks a lot man.

caps seem to solve the problem but really don't. Tell her buy a tiny battery, the smallest kinetik battery, hc600, is equal to 100 caps. Caps are band aids. Pointless...

do whats best . ive seen caps work with small amount of power being drawn. like 500 rms or so not much . what subs and amp did u hook up?
