Hello everyone!
So I had on my car a subwoofer and I'm tired and wanted something stronger, so bought an EDB12D2X-E7 12" speaker with 900w RMS power, 2x2 ohm with an EDA1800.1-E8 amp with this specifications: 1x600w 4ohm 1x1200 2ohm 1x1800w 1ohm, 10Hz-500Hz frequency response, also I bought Stinger SSK0 cables, 150 A fuse, 53 mm2 section of signal cable.
I want to connect this things, in 1 ohm configuration with the volume from amp at half but I do not know if the car battery will handle with all consumers..

What options do I have? The battery has 68 Ah and about the alternator I do know nothing..
A capacitor will help the situation? Or maybe to buy a bigger battery..
Someone told me about an auxiliary battery in the trunk but it is expensive and again, I do not know nothing about the alternator, if he can charge both of them..

My car is Passat B8 2016 1.6 bluemotion with start/stop, maybe helps this informations..
I have everything new, just wait for an answer after the beggining process.
I will put 3 photos, I can put more if is neccesary, sorry for my english but is not my language.

Please help.
Thanks!

You're probably going to damage that sub eventually if you hook it up to 1 ohm @ 1800 watts if the sub is only 900w RMS. That's way too much power.

I would recommend a battery over a capacitor. The capacitor still has to be charged to function.

You should be able to look up your cars alternator charging capacity.

Ok, but if I will buy one more speaker, the same like this, can I use both of them with this amp in 2 ohm? I mean in paralel, is will result from both speakers 2 ohms? I do not know if it is possible and do not know hot to tie the cables to obtain 2 ohms independency..
Thank you for answer.

Thank you for answer.

You really need a different ohm sub for 1 or 2 of them.
