well i was told the inputs were bad. my dad said he would look at it(he has an associates in electrical engineering) but he wanted a schematic. I will probably just see if he can fix it without. I cant even get a reply at ma audio.

I've serviced alot of MA amplifiers and have a couple of reversed engineered schematics for a few models. Describe the problem your having and maybe I can tell exactly whats wrong and how to fix

well its a ma audio hc 1302. when i turn it on if it doesnt go into protect the spike incredibly bad. like when i touch any of the settings the meter on the amp goes crazy and then it goes into protect. it looks like only one channel does it. my dad had a degree in electronics but he said he needed a schmatic. i think he was just being lazy. if you could help that would be awesome ma audio wont even return my emails.

give me an email address and I'll send you a detailed troubleshooting procedure for your dad about protection circuits and possibilities of what could actually be wrong. This way I won't be accused of spamming for business, etc.

I've had several of the MA HC1302's in the shop, but unfortunately most came in with different problems so I can't just say, replace this and everything will be OK.

The Kappa's have a high sensitivity rating of 93 db so the X802-5 would be fine. A good high sensitivity 8" sub in a properly sized box would fit...
