i need a list of mainstream sq subs

im buying off ebay and sellin when im done im just tryin to make 200 free dollars and i dont think ill lose to a woofer ported to 45 hz

well for one hes a duetch bag if i spelled it right i have a lot more knowledge then he does and i just need a list of woofers after i get woofers ill know what ill have to do with box,amp,etc so just give some woofer ideas thanks

Once you get setup - how this little contest going to be judged? Will there be an RTA there so no one gets too many of their buddies to come and vote for them or what?

If it is human ears, regardless of whose, doing the judging then that is entirely too subjective of a contest for there to be a definitive decision.

i don't understand. there aren't that many mainstream companies out there that everyone knows. the good mainstream companies are alpine, pioneer, kicker and jl audio. thats it.

from that list the only company that makes an SQL sub is JL. like i said w6v2. but of course we need a ballpark budget not "keeping as low as possible."

also trigger fosgate isnt well known for sq that i know of from what i hear from you guys

Lets face it most people on here talk out of their ***. The T2 of course should not be expected to retain much SQ as it is a SPL sub. Now the T1 on the other hand actually sounds great. I would not Call it an SQ sub by any means. But I would not call a W7 an SQ sub either...

In the proper install the T1's should be able to dominate a crappily installed dub7.

get a W6v2, you won't be disappointed. Doesn't need a ton of power either.

ok alphakenny1 as i stated in another post in this thread i have aleady used the w6 and im not wanting another and ballpark range is around 200 for sub.also it shouldnt be hard to get a woofer to sound better than one that is ported at 45 hz so all im sayin is that i need to find a sub that is cheap and sounds good. i talked to him today and we are not going for output but it would be nice to have a loud sq sub.

Try an alpine type x in a nice box. That should do the trick since he did his dub7 at 47hz.
