i've been waiting for this one job to follow through, but i dont think its going to happen this summer, maybe next summer. i thought about applying to cc and bb, but was also thinking about home depot or lowes. i hear the start off at like $9 an hour. anyone have experience with these places or have somewhere to recommend?

ya i heard they are pretty good, and they are both right next to each other so i wasn't sure which i should choose. what exactly could i do there, other than cashier? think they'd higher an 18 year old to stock?

Get a job at any warehouse... Talk to the supervisor to help you learn how to drive a forklift, once you learn how to operate it get a forklift license, Once you get your forklift driver's licence apply somewhere else as a forklift operator they should start you at atleast 10 bucks an hour then once you get that job work your way up...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

That's how I did it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

X2 that's exactly what i did, forklift and towmotor operation looks good on an application at any kind of warehouse, and as stated above, you'll see the salary increase as well

EDIT: and as an added bonus, you never have to deal with heinous customers! woo hoo!

i have a job
well i have a job, working at a ghetto gas station but i'd rather get out of there and find somewhere better. plus i only make $7.50 an hour, but it is under the table //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif

how exactly would you go about getting a fork lift license?

i didn't really get a "liscence" but i did get about 8 hours of training, and i am certified by my company, i am also certified anywhere else, all another place has to do is contact my current employer and make sure im certified.

it's really easy to drive on once youg et the hang of it.

Try to do smog, they pay like 14 an hour, or come move to vegas and do valet for 23 an hour + tips. Yea and Circuit City offered me a job but i denied because retail is on of the most boring things in the world, although 8.50 an hour and good discounts isnt boring.

ha valet would be sweet, but theres not too many places that do that around here. i was thinking maybe an installer at cc or bb, but i dont have any experience with any shops. i mean i can work on my own car and what not, and i pretty much have a good idea, at least more so than some of the people at bb i've seen.
