I am also shopping for a digicam, and used a few so far (courtesy of the army buying so many different models) and the ones which I say is best to me would be the Nikon 3100 (3.2 mega pixels, but you'll hardly get to use quality over 2.1 like me) snapshots require very little pixels, and only for your business would you need about 3.2 (pic will be huge, about 1600X1600).
But there's always a downside.
Video's from the nikon is quicktime, so a person without the program MUST download quicktime to watch, and compression is not very good, so the file is going to be quite large, and nikon 3100 does not support sound.
The Sony P8 is about the same class, and that allows movies with sound (playable on mediaplayer). Problem? Dedicated battery(can't purchase double A batts from 7-11 and pop it in), memory sticks are double the cost of CF cards as in the nikon, strobe(flash) doesn't seem as powerful as the nikon.
I also found that Nikon took better pics than the sony.
I won't go for the fuji finepix A303, that's such crap, and the olympus drained batt wayyyyy too much. Canon wasn't bad, but that one was a digital SLR, so it's not fair game.
Yes, I'm buying a nikon coolpix 3100 today. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
