I need a cheap hatch or SUV for a stereo hobby car

so bad ***

built in 1984 with 3 mtx 24" subwoofers it must of been mind shattering insane for its time...

i bought my 1990 suburban for 2k and drove it home and have been driving it ever since. its got all the room i could ever need.

if i was to start over - i would find a 2 door hatch car and wall it right behind the front seats. no back seats - no creature comforts. purpose built to be insane at giving demos to random car show guests in random parking lot shows.

i had a 84 corvette that i stuffed a 18" sub in ported box - rear glass acted like a horn flair - for what its worth it was the most brutal viechle i have ever sat in to date - and im sad i never got to wall that car off before i punted it with an engine on its way out. - but fiberglass cars dont flex so there was no wasted energy in this build.

next time i want to do a dedicated build it will be a small car = small internal air space to get moving. my suburban is so huge inside two 18s dont hurt my chest but in a tiny little shoe box of a car the same pair of 18s would not allow you to breathe properly and cause blury vision

my local craigs list offers little guys like this for reasonable prices

2000 chevy metro

or

1989 Civic Hatch Won't Last Long

or

i hate vw but this is a cool looking little guy

1997 Volkswagen Golf

only problem with small cars is your limited to what you can fit, and easily max out suspension.

larger suv' you can do 4 18's in a 6th order in a c pillar build

the single 18" in my vette was absolutely brutal to sit in. = pair of the same 18s on better power in my suburban window line box is loud but barely tickles my nose hairs. - the airspace inside the car realley needs to be acounted for when planing the system and for what you want it to do.

me i want my next system to absolutely be violent and insane to sit in. blurry vision / chest pounding bass and its going to be extremely hard to do that effect inside a viechle with a huge internal airspace - unless you are doing a b pillar wall of some sort to it and seal it off good so efectivly removing 2/3 of the viechles internal airspace that the subs will have to exite.
