I need a cheap amp for a cheap sub!

Polk Audio - 12" Dual-Voice-Coil 8-Ohm Subwoofer - Black - DXi124 DVC

I bought this sub + an enclosure for $50 combined, and its actually dual 4-ohm contrary to the specs on the site.

I need a cheap amp for it if you guys can link me to one, I don't really want to spend a lot on this its just going in my truck.. And I just want some basic low-end.

What does dual 4-ohm even mean? And how would I wire it for this if I just want to run this sub off of the amp?

it means you need a 2 ohm mono amplifier that can provide you around 75-150rms for that sub.

Any amp 2 ohm stable around400 watt rms rating ie kicker kx 400.2 bazooka ela 300.1 spl dk21000 plus many amps on here you could get a good deal on

Wire the sub in parallel pos to pos neg to neg for 2 ohm load the mon ok block 2 ohm amps are ideal for this

You all have more faith in that sub then I do lol. I have played with a set not to long ago. Well a customer did, lets just say it didn't work out for him.

What is the basis for all of you guys saying the sub is bad? I got it on sale for $50 WITH an enclosure from bestbuy, I just wanted some low end without breaking the bank, I don't think it can be that bad, can it? I'm not an audiophile I just want to be able to hear the low end.

Edit: Maybe I'd be better off returning the sub and just getting some speakers to replace my stock ones?

I owned that sub actually, its no monster, but i liked it for what it was.
