My system was working fine, then it blew a fuse while i was driving on the road. I go home to put a new one in, and as soon as i connect the battery it blows the fuse, i try it again, and it blows again. I don't understand why. I'v already went threw 4 fuses, and im on my last one, so im not going to try again until i know it won't blow. Could anyone help me out please?

Underhood fuse? Might be a short in ur wiring?
yeah its the fuse at the battery, but all my wiring should be fine, i can double check. It was working fine for a month, now it keeps blowing the fuse i put on it.

unplug the power from the amp and put a fuse in. if it doesnt blow. (which it shouldnt lol) then plug the fused power wire to the amp. if that blows then its most like ur amp if all the connections are good

Alright i'll go check all my wiring right now. I'm just a little nervous to use my last fuse, then i have to go to the over priced audio store and buy a new one for like $5 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

i unplugged the power to my amp, and it still blew the fuse //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

(sorry for the triple post)

I'm wondering if i even put the fuse in right, this is the first time i'v ever blew a fuse. When i did it i discounted the ground to my battery, then put the fuse in, and then reconnected the battery ground. Is that the wrong way to do it? Should i have just kept the battery ground in and then just put the fuse in?

Edit: I called the store and they only have 300A fuses, is that to big of a fuse for me? Also i have a spare 80A fuse, would that be to small? My only other option is ordering them, and thats going to take a while.

Seriously? Do you even understand what a fuse is for? You blew the same sized fuse 3-4 times, and you want to try it again?

You know what, yea go ahead a try it maybe you'll be surprised with the outcome.
