I keep blowing a fuse

I just got my alpine 7995 installed and hooked up my subs. As soon as I turn on the car and the hu fires up, the fuse for my mono amp blows. I used the same fuse for over a year and it never blew untill the sub pre out on my old hu took a shit. So I replaced the blown fuse but obviously it blew again. Besides my new alpine, I have changed nothing in my setup and have no clue why I would suddenly be blowing the fuse every time I start the car. Any ideas or help would be much appreciated b/c I'm clueless.

So let me get this straight you changed the head unit, maybe the preouts are running at too high of a voltage, some amps cant handle the increased input voltage, I know some amps have the switch near the rca inputs, Since you havent really messed with anything else thats what i think it is.

Amp could be fried.

I had a similar situation. I was driving down the road and the HU just cut off. I replaced the HU, but then my PPI 2150 would not power on. Sent in for warranty work and once everything came back and reinstalled everything worked fine.

Note sure if it was the amp that blew the HU or the HU that blew the amp.
