I just ordered an Fi Q 15. Need amp around ~250

As the title states, i just ordered a shiny new Fi Q 15" subwoofer. I'm very excited, but i also need to purchase an amp! I've read that the hifonics line is a good budget amp, but do you guys think it would really be a good choice for powering such a nice sub? should i wait until i have more money and get a better amp? Will there REALLY be a noticeable difference between them (assuming of course that it outputs the same amount of power). I plan on running the sub in a sealed enclosure at the recommended space.

I ordered the Dual 2 ohm configuration so I'm looking for a 1 ohm stable amp (oh god i hope...right???). I'd like to put around the recommended wattage, however i really just want the best bang for the buck.

All the great info i have read on this forum has guided all of my car audio decisions. Thanks a lot guys and i really look forward to how this turns out!

In case anyone was wondering i'm currently running a cadence z5000 180x2 amplifier and a pioneer premier deh-460mp head unit. I've had this stuff for well over a year but i'm just now getting some bass

Hey Im in Brandon and have a Kicker ZX1500.1 and will let if go for 350.00 since your local...........lil over your budget but a great Brand new amp for a great sub.

that is a fine looking amp, and i may be interested, however don't i want one that is 1 ohm stable? from what i'm lookin at that does 1500 @ 2.

Ya you would want one that is 1 ohm stable since its a dual 2 voice coil. The kicker amp is said to be able to go down to 1 ohm but I wouldnt' risk it espically for that price. Just watch the classifeds on this site and I'm sure you can find something that will fit your needs.

I have a US Amps MD-2 for sale. does 1800 at 1ohm. (may be a bit much but leaves room for if you want to upgrade your woofers.) It is stable down to .5ohm. Ill let it go for 370 shipped to you. its a 20 pound amp lol

Im running one in my car now at 1ohm and its fine.After your sub warms up and such the ohms rise well over 1 ohm.

This one has a birthsheet of 1650watts at 2 ohms and Im sure they do over 2000 at 1ohm.

Mine doesnt even get warm at 1ohm.Its a great amp for the money.

do you have more info on this amp, or a link to where i can get some? i searched Google but the information i was able to get wasn't very helpful.

I'm still considering that kicker amp, if you guys say it can do 1 ohm stable it's definitely something i'm willing to consider. However i won't be able to buy it until Thursday when i get my paycheck. Can you either PM me or post pics of the kicker amp please?
