i just got in a car accident

if she only has a few scratches find out what she wants to do, chances are she might take a few hundred cash instead of bothering with repairs

get an estimate on your car, if it isnt much more than your deductible dont go through insurance

that will keep your rates from going up

there might be a reason she left the scene, might want to look into that as well. she could have an outstanding warrant or a suspended license. if she does you may be in the clear as far as paying for her repairs

If the cops were not called then there is no reason they would show up. If you want this to stay away from the insurance company offer to fix her vehicle for her and have her sign a notorised letter that says this issue is done so she has no recourse to sue you.

well i think it was cuz she had a hair appointment to get to, since she pulled into a salon parking lot.

i scratched a park car a little, and we settled it without insurance, but she did file a police report.

The lady I hit, her husband was a cop. $700 for a dent the size of a quarter and some paint.... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

good luck

a few years ago i was driving down a 2 lane street, this guy passes me, cuts in front of me and then slams on his brakes. i hit the back of his car and he just drives away down the street and pulls into his driveway.
i called the cops and explained what happened, turns out the cop was his uncle so i ended up being at fault and he got nothing for leaving the scene.

all this because i screwed his fiance a week before, cost me a $500 deductible
karma? I understand his side of the story tho //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

next time if you can take a picture of her damages if the police are not involved. She could very well claim other damages and since their is no official police report to verify the damages, you want to always protect yourself. honestly if you could cover the damages to her vehicle even if its a little more tahn you'd pay through your deductible its worth it in the long run. You'd probably have your rates increased, and it will stay on record between 3-5 years depending on the insurance company.

i noticed that she had scratches on the doors of her car. and i know that it wasnt my fault. could she pin the door damages on me?

if she goes to a "friends" shop and gets an estimate they could include that repair "off the books" and just make the rear end damage estimate high enough to cover those repairs as well
