I have the best sound in Massachusetts.

no dude, it's not advantageous, and it's not worth the work i've put into it.... so i wouldn't recomend it to anyone, but if i didn't like it, i wouldn't have it... i've heard a TON of systems.... there really is nothing wrong with it... and i've tried disconnecting the 13... and just running the 4 10's on the 1000/1... as soon as i connect the 13 it's alot louder and still sounds just as good...
Again, don't know how to explain to you that your vehicle, and your stereo, do not break the laws of physics. I have a buddy that thinks his stereo sounds best with the gains cranked and the sound heavily distorted. Im sure if I were to ask him, he'd say it sounds great, just like you.
If someone told you the sky was blue, and you disagree, Id suggest taking off your rose colored glasses. Take off your rose colored glasses cot, you are only seeing what you want to see.

how is it breaking the laws of physics?

Hey Cot, I just noticed that you have two different sets of components running in that vehicle as well. How is that working?
not bad, i actually went to get another set of mtx 6.25's for the back, but the type-r's sounded better in the back... so i sold the mtx's

Different sized subs, in different enclosure alignments, emphasizing different freqs, and NOT experiencing above average wave interferance.
You know the reasoning behind not using a setup like yours, its been explained to you a million times by now. Dont act like you have no idea what Im referring to.

right that would be a problem but just as it is a problem, there is a solution(s)

#1 the phase is reversed on the 13, that alone cuts most of the canccelation out

#2 the subs are all facing the exact same direction (the same plane) but the 13 is elevated on that plane above the 10's... so by the time the wave from the 10's gets to the wave from the 13, it is diffracted just enough to avoid extreme cancellation

there really isn't much harmonic distortion at all... now i won't lie i do get SOME, but only at specific frequencies, close to 45hz, and 67-70 are the only really noticeable places, even then its better than alot of setups...

noone that sits in my car notices... only i do after listening to it for hours on end...

Hey cot. Whatever happened to the XXX you were planning on buying? Install a real substage, and then tell us how wrong you were. There is just no way in hell that setup sounds as good as a proper single-size substage. Just sell the 13, the Sony, and the 1000/1, and buy an amp that will provide adequate power to the 10s (something like a Kicker ZX1500.1)
