I have two 12" treo ssp and I have kept them even without a vehicle for the past two years. I really wanna put them in my new car but I need a box. I'm not good with math but I can build a deck with my eyes closed. Can anyone lend a hand..maybe give me a blueprint. Lol I can get you any of the specifications you need for the subs. It has to be vented and I listen to rap mostly if that matters for tuning. HELP ME GET MY BASS BACK!! PLEASE!!

I'm goin to be putting them in a 2000 Nissan Maxima. I'll have to measure for trunk specs.

I have a Treo SSX 1400 series amp @ 2000w.

Cutout size: 11-1/8 in

Mounting Depth: 5-3/4 in

Driver Displacement: 0.100ft^3 (2.83L)

So: 69.5 in

Fo: 26.197hz@ 4 ohms. 27.089hz @ 2 ohms

Vas: 1.419ft^3@ 4. 2.114ft^3@2

Reccomended enclosure: 2.1ft^3. With 20in^2 port area @ 14-1/8 in long

Well, just to get a general feel for it, the forum is gonna need a few things:

Are you looking for a louder (SPL) type of application, something geared towards sound quality (SQ), or a good combination of the two?

Posting enclosure specs on the subs would make the job easier for everybody.

Do you know how much room you have to work with?

According to what you listen to most, a 35 hz tuning frequency would probably sound best for you.

How much power you plan to give these is also pretty important in enclosure design.

I threw together a basic dual ported enclosure on torres using this as specs: Link = http://www.treoonline.com/infosheets/ssp_subwoofers.pdf

I entered in .200 for sub displacement being that you will be using 2 to get an accurate net ^ ft, Double .75" baffle for the face, subs front / port front (torres default) - This should work, I like tuning to around 32-34hz (Just my preference) and ppl all have their preferences when it comes to tuning... - Anyway here is a basic layout of a dual 12" slot ported enclosure...

I have updated the thread with more information. Anything else? What about the diagram used for a 4.2ft^3. @ 32hz? It's under the "Free: Box Plans" sticky...should I split to two chambers and two ports to protect each sub if the other were to blow?

sorry guys I am new and don't know how to start a thread or find what I am looking for. I need to know how to measure my trunks width height and depth and do I measure closer to the seats were there is less width or do I measure close to the bumper where there is more? I just got a hdc3 12 and plan on putting it in a 2012 charger. any help would be appreciated.
