Alright! I have an opportunity to sell my OA15's box for $50
My question is, everybody says the port on my box is too small, and its restricting what the sub can do! So I started to toy around with Torres box calculator, and I figured out I'm at 3.34 cubes @ 32 hz!
I've noticed that to alter the tuning of the box, 2 things can happen! You can make the port really skinny like mine, and have a really short port length (mines 6 inches), or make the port wide and make the port really long!
My question is, with these things that I've found out, is my port really "too small"? It achieves tuning and everything in the smallest package, and the output is still something to behold....
I can sell my box tomorrow, and I've already got sketchers for a box that steele18 designed which is 3.2 cubes @ 30 hz, where the port is 2.75 Inches wide but a staggering 35 inches long!!
If you don't know what my box looks like by now, you've been under a rock!
Box:
31 wide 16 tall 15 deep
Port:
Port: 14.5 tall 1' wide 6' deep
