I have an external reg but should I go 16 volts?

Well right now I have a 250 amp alternator with ext. reg Currently I am charging at 15v on my 12v batteries. Any opinions since I have the ext. reg should I just go 16 volts? I am looking for some batteries I was gonna do 2 PM d3100's @ 12v but then Terra is selling his 16v kinetiks! But then again some of the classes I compete in dont allow 16v.

Also do alot more problems come around on 16v? Thanks! POLL TO!

there is possibly more to go wrong with 16v, personally I run it to get the most out of the amp. Powermasters are shiznit though

If you go to 16v, you might burn out your stock electrical (mainly your ECU.)

So, check to make sure that if you do up the voltage, the rest of your electrical system won't see a raised current.

the kinetiks have a 12v post, but otherwise would need some stepdown modules

As long as he uses a couple stepdown modules, he'll be good.
