Yes, it's one of those threads, the dreaded "what should I buy" threads. I'm looking for cheap spl subs to run off either one or two Crunch GP3000D Pro's. I'd like to stay below the window line, so about 10ft^3 after all displacement is what I have to work with. 4-6 12's or 3 15's are my first choices(Might be able to do 4 15's)...will be tuning low-mid 50's.

I'l thinking maybe some spl-x's, or some of those 12's on the PE buyout for $65 a piece. Suggest some subs you've used that surprised you...ones ones to be had for cheap that might do a good job with what I'm looking for. It's hard to come up with a lot of options by myself, so I need your help!

im planning on using two of the newer crunch 3000s on 4 AQ HDC3s 12s. whats ur budget for the subs?
x2 what is gonna be ur exact budget for the subs??

First thing that comes to mine is AQ HDC3s or older HD3s if u can find them. Maybe a pair of RE MTs if u can find them, can handle 3k no problem.

ahh your from rockwall...thats cool. i grew up in commerce but moved to houston 7 years ago. rockwall has fvckin grown up since i left. still haven't been to that bass pro shops.

also to the OP.......i would go with 2 dc audio lvl 4 xl 18's. 10ft^3 is perfect and they would take the 3000 easily.

Yeah, I grew up in Rockwall from '87 to about 3 years ago when I moved to Denton. went from 7k people to about 35-40k now in those 20 years, but has really shot up the last 5-10 years.

The level 4 XL's are intriguing, I have a buddy who ran a pair of the 18's and they were pretty sick. I really don't want to spend a ton of money though...I like to do a lot with a little(money wise).

2 LVL4xl 18s would put up sum big numbers w/ 3k each in an SPL box.. In my Jetta w/ around 3k each(My Orion 2500Ds @ .5ohm each) i did a 150.8. That was in a daily box, subs firing into the cabin w/ a single 8" Aero.

W/ 2 18s you could do sum big numbers w/ that power... At a local event a saw a guy do a 152.4, TL @ dash drivers door open w/ a single 15" LVL4xl off 2kw in a burp box in a small SUV.

Yeah, I've seen them work well for a few people, so they're definitely an option.

ohi didnt see his post with the budget.

get like 4 of those pyle pro 21 " subs lol.
I can get three for $500...but then I'd have to wall my truck. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif I'd love to play with them though, I'm just afraid I'll get let down in a big way.
