I have to 2 jl audio 12w3d6's.

They are dula 6 ohm voice coil

Most amps do most there power at 1ohm or 2ohms?

So what amp would be best?

I have a mephis st 1000d, & ppi 1800?

The memphis or the PPI will still do 75-90 percent of rated power at 1.5

JL just does this so you think you have to get one of their amps, which do rated power from 1-4 ohms.

Try the amps you have you ahve plenty of power laying around why buy something new?

One guy has a "old" crossfire cfa 1000d on a pair of 10w3s in his truck. They sound great.

He said they are dual 6vc also.

So i would have about 800-900 watts from the memphis @ 1.5 ohms???

fo sho. Your gonna hve plenty of power for those woofers, enough that I woudl set gains with Dmm to prevent thermal failure of vioce coil.

Easily 400 perwoofer these are 300rms right, your gonn be plenty loud.

Nah they've been doing that ohm load since before they made amps.
