my dad does our estimating we've been in business about 8 years now.. he had to get off the floor his back started going so i run the crew he estimates the jobs.. so far so good tho.. hes been in the business 38 years so hes pretty good.. obviously you have some clue what my job takes ..flooring is no joke of a job..it pays well tho ....

started a company after i finished my apprenticeship chief.. u cant be an owner of a company if not journeyman... so you have no clue what your talking about. i had to put in years before i was able to be "entitled" and i do own my own company.. need proof..no problem have tons lol

so are they theres more people gonig to college now than ever bro.. thats why college educated jobs dont pay as much as they did before.. its called a recession everyones replaceable.. only way i can get replaced is if company fails then im back workin out the union hall off the list. i never "lose my job" we have a hall..i call.. go back to work make a decent hourly wage the next day same as i did the day before

ok lol. he has contacts in the trade from his experience in the business..yes.. but that doesnt complete the jobs does it? nope its the guy installing the material on the job sites so im pretty sure ive accomplished my half of the deal everyday.

I'm not trying to argue with anyone, I'm simply saying that with manual labor, employees are always easily replaced because theoretically, there's less you need to know to do the job. You can't just grab someone off the street and train them to be a doctor or engineer in a few weeks.

yeah, but theres a difference between craftsmanship and a guy off the street going through the motions ...it doesnt turn out the same.. trust me people try you can do the work but if its not right..you dont get paid.
