yes, because had i known, i woulda invested more of my money into my 401(Ik). We had a specific use in mind for the refund, which we thought would quite a bit more, so now i cannot go thru with what we had planned

Why wouldn't you pay the government the correct amount of money and put the rest in something that pays you interest like a money market account, or a CD if you're planning on not touching it for a year or longer?

Why wouldn't you pay the government the correct amount of money and put the rest in something that pays you interest like a money market account, or a CD if you're planning on not touching it for a year or longer?

my will power sucks, i put about 10k into my 401 (k) every year and use the tax return as play money.
