I got pwned beyond belief...

by my wife's former employer, JCPenney. We got our W2's back and i sit down to figure it all up. Everything is looking good until the part where i add our federal tax paid out together.....i made 60k paid 10,200 in fed tax, she made 21k and paid 187 bucks in fed. tax. ....... see anything wrong here?!?!? long story short....our total tax liability is $6000.....if they would have taken the right amount of taxes out of her check we'd be getting 8 grand back...but since they were utter morons, and apparently my wife doesn't keep track of what she pays out in taxes, we are only getting 3900 bucks back. Major bummage here, i was going to get a truck soon but seems that just isn't going to happen till i scrape up another 2-3 grand.

no she's not, she even has a copy of the W-4 she turned in ....if she kept her checks to herself, maybe i could see that. But her whole check goes to our bill paying account and she gets $200 spending cash
