I got PWND at local stereo shop

i used to pull the fuse out of the back of a radio and let the new guys troubleshoot a simple 5-10 minute install for hours before helping them. then i would ask them to retrace their steps and most would say they checked "all the fuses", when i asked specifically about the deck fuse, they would reply with "heck yeah"...then after i would walk away they would mysteriously find the issue.

best way to train people, honestly. especially if they are on a salary/commission scale. more time bullshitting=less money

10 an hour? I would not even wake up for that. They are taking advantage of you at that rate, if you are skilled. If it is a shop helper lets see what you can do type of thing then I understand. I would show then a decent work ethic if there was talk of a raise after 14 days tops. Then start cleaning the floor only after that, no real work unless paid a real wage.

IDK dude, I still can't figure it out. I went from the van to the install bay to get a screw driver, and bam it was gone. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif
I'm notorious for losing shit, it's an every day thing for me.

I'm an idiot for losing something, that's the ownage mang.
Like I said I'm ALWAYS losing shit, especially tools, it's something I need to work on. I get some anxious sometimes I just can't think straight. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif
I misplaced my heat gun 5 months ago and still haven't been able to find it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

D@MN, that was a set up if I have ever seent one. I'll have to remember the ole elusive harness trick if I ever interview for a job.

BTW I'm looking for an install job as a side job. Is12/hr plus 10% install fee a decent negotiating rate for someone who has no shop experience? I mean, I've installed shit for almost 20 years now, but never worked in a shop.
