Alright car audio gurus. I seriously need some help.

So run a wire from positive to the ground, and then one from where to where the 2 fuses are?

 
It was working then after about the 15 minutes it took me to get my subs in my new box it just quit?
Even if my subs were wired wrong would it have smoked my amp?
take the amp out and take the cover off and snap some pics and post them here, mabie we can see if it let the "smoke" out or not.
