hahaha i didn't position it there JUST to hide the wires. it seems to sound a lot better and has a tad more output sitting on the side like that. it actually on a certain song (that i had listened to many times before with the Treo) had made a couple new rattles that were not there before.

once my distribution block and a section of 4 gauge wire come that i just ordered the wiring will be all cleaned up and hidden pretty much out of the way. i also like that i gained some trunk space and lost quite a bit of weight. i honestly don't think it looks to bad other than the wiring mess, i kinda like it. and of course like i have said, it sounds awesome and that is what is most important.

judging from the inside of the box, I would expect port noise. But I could be wrong.... Not that it looks so so bad, but I wonder if all the time you took to do that coulda been put towards building a box from scratch that looks and sounds better

If your sub has a pole vent, I would highly suggest being better about cleaning the sawdust out of your box before installing the speaker.

good idea but to late now. i got more listening time on it today and i am still in awe. i love this sub.

it, believe it or not has zero port noise. and it took me about a half an hour, maybe 45 minutes to complete it. honestly i can't picture it sounding much better than it does in any box. i guess it could use a tad more port area, but why? it's perfectly fine just the way it is.
