im sorry but majority of black people do strive to be "thugs". My best friend is black and he doesnt strive to be thug at all hes just him. But the people in the ghetto wont strive to be educated people they have to "be hard" and join gangs, sell drugs, drop out of school, etc. Again i know there are exceptions but im speaking about the group as a whole. all rappers talk about is how they so hood and theyre real thugs and theyll kill you this and that. SO can you really argue that its not cool in the black community?

they are uneducated why do you think they stay there? They by into the whole thug image and keep the ghetto the way it is...why doesn't a generation revolt and not fall into the stereotype (thats how you advance)? thus eliminating all the violence disease and drugs that prosper in those societies.

They can't afford to move somewhere else. The police in most of the areas do nothing because they are profiting off of the illegal activities so it makes it difficult for the people of the communities to try to fight against people who don't give a **** and the police. There are a bunch of African Americans in these neighborhoods who do try to fight off the violence in their communities but it is extremely hard to fight it especially when the government does little to nothing to help the situation.

Its called sacrifice...no big change is easy but it is necessary for advancement. Its just as easy to go to school, leave for college and buy a house somewhere else?? schools are govt ownd buildings and no matter what you say no school is that rough to where you cant go there and graduate. My dad lost his house due to forclosure and we had to move into a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom house with my uncle and his family. With eeryone combined we had 9 people under that roof with 5 dogs and 4 cats. You can imagine the living conditions with the urine and hair and just mess from 9 people under such a small roof. My dad left for FL after 1 year and left me alone there with my uncle. i slept on a couch with my cousin and his dog (a boxer that weighed 100lbs) for 3 years and managed to graduate this year so dont sit there and tell me its impossible to prosper when your in a terrible situation. I dont live in a rural community either i live right on the east side of ATL in a school of predominantly black kids and its not a walk in the park so that is no excuse either.

Why the **** would you have 9 animals in a house with 9 people already in there shit is downright stupid and a waste of money. Its really not that easy to get out of the ghetto, you've never been oppressed so obviously you have no idea. Most inner city blacks have noone to look up too and see how these thugs are living and making money by selling drugs and robbing and wanna do the same thing to make an easy buck so they can keep there familys in a household because usually the father is gone and the mother is working her *** off to pay bills or on drugs. The ones that do try to go to school get shunned when they try to apply for colleges because when they take the SAT's ACT's or other placement tests there not prepared because the inner city school system dosent teach them shit and usually dosent even have the books to teach students. and thats if they even get looked at because most colleges see inner city youth and think that there just a fluke.
