I think its because last month some dood hacked into my ebay account and put up for sale a acura tl...

but paypal whats to confirm its me, so i made a copy of my drivers license and now they want a copy of my social security card?

has this happened to anyone?

My account got hacked a few months ago and someone sent Zynga (facebook games) a few hundred $$$. It was locked down for a week. All I had to do was answer a few security questions. The rest of the time was them reviewing the purchase and getting my money back from Zynga.

That has happened to me before. But like everyone said, I would call them, to speed up the process.

When I called them before about it, and they "unlocked" my account while we were on the phone.

Happened to me as well. Someone from Nigeria got my PP account and sent some third party scam website a donation for packing supplies for like $250. I called PP and my money was back within a week.

The problem with that is, if they find your new account, they will lock it as well. Also, you can't close your account while its under review with Paypal.
