I have 2 w3d4's and they are absolutley perfect. And i know the box i have them in is way too small. Once i get more space and port them they will be stupid loud.

JL's HO boxes are over-priced as **** and over-rated as well.

How do you have it wired? Is it a dual voice coil? I don't know much about JL's...

Even if it's running 400 the woofer is rated at 500. So it shouldn't be that much of a difference should it?

Not really your box is the most important thing besides the actual sub

I'd say the box is Num 1 on importance IMO, get one designed and built for that sub by one of the guys on here, or do so yourself. Coarse it all depends on what your opinion of loud enough is......it just might not be a possiblity with that power and that sub. Theres better out there for cheaper.
