i defently need help

hey guys im trying to install a head unit in my car but in the back of it (long story short, its the only place i can install it) how should i go about doing this? ill get the wiring harness right? and then jsut hook it up to the battery? ive never installed a deck b4

Just get 30 duracell d's to power it. Soder them all together and run some 8awg from the batt to duracells then to your head unit. Im going to get 60 for my amps. It should work flawless.

nvm sorry just need pos. and neg. think you can run your memory in to your positive and go from there as normal

yeah u'll want to put it on a toggle or a power remote like such as if you had a power antenna just so it turned off when the car turns off

the easiest would be a line to a power remote in your car do you have power antenna in your or any 12 v source in the trunk area thats on when the keys in the acc. position ????

its a weird electrical system, its a 1973 suberbeetle, so the stock deck has an on/off dial thing.....but the battery is under the back seat...im not even sure it has a acc. position

o wow wish i could work on this with you would be fun lol well since you has the battery under the back seat i would just do a line w/ a toggle just make shur to turn it off lol when you park

Just extend the speaker wires and such from the front to the back. And run the pos and neg to the battery. Make sure you use the apropriate fuse for the positive.

oh this will jsut be a back unit, stock there is 1 4" speaker and a AM radio......lmao it gets kinda boring....but my car is hella weird...the car doesnt need to be on for the windshild whipers to work XD

but can i get a toggle just n e where?

cuz i think im geting all the equiment from sonix electronics
