My sympathies. My stepgrandfather lost his ring finger, I think to the door of a Ford 150. Good to know you at least have a story behind it. I was told the phantom pain goes away, too.

You need to get a lawyer. I know the place I used to work offered $25000 for losing a finger. If you are expecting your work place to give you what you deserve then you will keep on waiting.
