Im entering a local competition here, on sept. 10, the first time ive ever competed. And with my kick *** system representin RE. Quick question tho, when I compete, should I run it what I usually do, or should I increase gain and power a little bit for the 30 seconds?

I'll post up what im hittin after competition in 2 weeks.

Iv got a 30 sec tone track that I created that focuses on the peak SPL freqs of my setup. that is 35-40 hz. Everything is a sweep. I have a 5 sec 70-30hz, a 5 sec 30-70hz, 5 sec 35-40hz, and a 15 sec 45-30hz, all put together in one track.

I just didnt know how to burp, like do u set gains higher then daily or what not, or should I just run what I run daily, as far as gains and amp settings.

Have you sub-out maxed, xover frequency ALL the way up, and gains set to not clip...at what volume you're going to play. (I recommend setting the gains with your volume in the top 1/4 of the range it goes to...for example is it goes to 50...set your gains with the volume at around 40-45 or so.)

I've never competed before, but from what I've heard, you're not going to want to run a 30 second tone. You only need a few seconds for the mic to register the sound level, and in doing that you allow yourself a little leeway concerning the amount of power you put to the drivers.

Also, burp around the resonant frequency of your car, run sweeps at low volumes to find which is the loudest, and test around that area.
