Its for 2 15" sx's. It's 101 inches of port. It's definitely NOT too big.

no it won't, if he has the proper length for that area. Then he's fine. He should be pounding out the lows - because that's what subs do. Play sub-bass

Touching each other? They do share the same airspace, but that doesn't really matter when going ported.

those cut outs... ...I am speechless.

Me? My 15s have a cutout of 13.88", so I found where my center would be, then measured out 6 15/16". I made my own circle jig. Scrap peice of MDF, drilled hole for screw, measure out 6 15/16", drill hole for pencil, trace.
Drill hole for jigsaw bit, cut beside the line. The key to a jigsaw, is your saw bits. Get a set w/ as much teeth as possible, cut slowly. Don't rush, because you'll end up w/ rough cts or worse, broken bit.
