Thought I'd vent, and ask if anyone has had the same experience I just had earlier this afternoon.
Went to home depot to pick up my wood for my box. ( 4.5+ cu. ft tuned to 38) They (home depot) went through 2, YES, i REPEAT 2 sheets of mdf to get 6 piecies of wood that I needed //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif
The problem was when they measured the top portion of the wood it was right on, however *I* measured the bottom portion and it was 1/2 inch OFF!!!!! WTF?
(I always bring a tape measure cause you just never know)
It appeared the saw was cutting at an angle. I spent 1 1/2 hrs and 2 sheets of mdf to finally get FAIRLY straight cuts. (they were probably off by 1/8 1/16th not TOO BAD)
No they did'nt charge me for all the cutting or the extra mdf, I'm just wondering did/does anyone have a similar experience with a large chain store like home depot, lowes, ect?
