Hey whats up all, some of you may remember me from a while back or maybe you don't. In any event I joined a good while back learned a whole lot, saw the light, ditched my solos and bought a RE XXX12 in 3.2cuft tuned to 30 hz and put a Hifonics Brutus BX1500 on it. Sounded just awesome!!! After a while i sold the XXX and the amp and got out of it....Now I am back!!! So my system thus far is this: HU=Alpine CDA-9813;

Components=CDT audio HD62-cf's (custom mounted in the doors); Component amp=US acoustics 2100 (100wrmsx2 @ 4 ohms); Sub amp=Memphis 16-ST1500D (1500wrmsx1@ 2 ohms); Sub = don't have on yet.......I plan on going sealed probably 15. It will be in a 2000 Grand cherokee. I have been leaning toward the SS Rl-p 15. Would love another XXX but sorta $$$$ right now... My setup will be fairly simple sealed and pretty stealth (as stealth as a 15 can get lol) Looking for some wangability but very nice SQ. Needs to get low, however I listen to virtually no rap. Recently after the past few weeks of reading I have started looking at a pair of the new 12" type R's (ebay price of course) or maybe a single 12" type X. The problem here is I have read almost too much and have gotten myself looking at too many options and need some help narrowing down!!!

Thanks in advance!

Ian

Every ones telling me to get the type r's over the type x. They all say they would be louder and sound good (and cheaper) so Im gonna say the type r's. I think thats what im gonna get

i dont think an RLP would like 1400w daily.

and i dont think type Rs would like 800w daily.

i dunno man. with that kind of power @2ohms - id look into the soundsplinter RL-S, but they arent in full production yet.

the rl-p will handle it daily in a sealed box. just turn down the gains a little.

I would go with the P3's they can be the same price as some type r's depending on where you find em but theyt can handle the power you give them, but if your gonna go with a P3 i doubt you would need a 15 since you wanna try and go stealth and like ice said just turn down the gain a little, or to handle a little more power get a ported box

Not sure but if I am not mistaken a ported box would decrease power handling...
