i am clueless with amp

ok im looking at subs to just give me some bass being the music not crazy loudness

and i dont have too much money for that anyway..

anyway was looking at 2 12 cvr's,, they are cheap and good enough i think

i have no idea what amp would run these good, the subs take 400rms each..

sooo i need someone to show me what amp would work for

2 DVC 2ohm 400rms(each) cvr's..

i'd go with a kicker zx 750.1... can be had for a reasonable price, what is your budget?

would this be about a perfect match? since both subs are gona need 800rms total

the 750 can be able to be ran at 750rms(prob underrated) like for both subs?

budget is kinda restrictive, trying below 500.. (100 for subs, 100 box, 200 amp, 50 wiring)

also what gauge wiring would be fine with these?

the last few i saw benched at a bit above 900 rms @ 14.4 volts (2ohms) so that would be split between the 2 subs... so each will see about 400.

i would take that pretty much, but the thing is i have a stock 96 explorer and i dont really want to upgrade major stuff...

so kinda keepin it below 1000rms....

and idk if ill need a cap also because even now when i push all 4 window buttons my lights dim a tad hah

im not totaly against bandpass boxes, but ive been much more in to learning about diffrent types of ported boxes, t line , L ports and the likes.

generaly sealed boxes will control the sub, and keep it away from distorted sounds more

than a ported box will, but a ported box will play louder than sealed.

if you do decide to go bandpass, please dont buy pre fab.

for the bandpass box to be right it needs exact dimentions wich are calculated from the woofers you choose to put in there.

o - and about the amps,

im in the same looking around for one game.

im almost dead set on getting a hi fonics brutis amp 1600w @1 ohm 1000w @2ohm.

id rather have more amp power and keep the gain turned down a bit more on the amp, than not have enough power to feed the subs.

aight then screw the bandpass, i have no prob doin that, a reg ported pretuned is fine with me

i do want ported also, and with the kicker usualy being underrated for 750rms, im sure it will be able to put out more so i can just chill with the gain also i think

i cant really decide if i should mess with the amp settings or let like circuit city or some thing help me with it

take dimensions, and let someone here build you a box, then read up on setting gains, and do the whole thing yourself....saves money, and ensures you will get everything set correctly.....circuit city sets gains by watching the sub(NO NO)

Yea, 100 for a box is doable... Get someone locally to build you one to CVR spec.. OR, build your own... it is quite simple.

Also, I think the 750.1 is a perfect match for the subs.
