hybrid civic

thats a really good question! Anyone here own a hybrid with some stereo equipment in it? I'd imagine it does draw off of the battery somewhat, and that it would need a strong voltage....then again, a stronger alternator should suffice for a hybrid car's electrical needs....but i really don't know for sure. I'm gonna go to "How Stuff Works.com" and see if there is an article on Hybrid cars.

battery's running the motors may have a diode in the charging line so that current draw from the rest of the car is kept seperate from stored energy for propelling the car.

however, putting a system in a green peace car is kinda hypocrytical, no?

if you are looking for MPG rid a friggen cycle. you'll have jsut as much room

i was sitting in a brand new 06 BMW M5 and that was a thing of beauty but i was much more intrigued sitting in the new toyota prius. it was a pretty sweet car and it was my dads buddy. my dads buddy also has a hybrid civic and hew wants a system in it. im planning on doing a nice $700 $800 SQ system so i only plan on using 600 watts.

im telling you guys... Hybrids are the way of the future and you might want to do some early research. more and more of you guys will be asking this very same question. i want to do this system near the end of the summer but i want to make sure its possible.

have you ever been in a prius? it's bigger than a corrola, or impala 05 inside.

mmm. I'd be careful around the kinds of voltages they shove through one of those cars. Drilling would be a 'everyone hold hands and pray' occasion IMO //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

i drove my grandpas prius, its pretty big inside and runs super smoothly. it does have that monitor that you control everything off of so you would have have to do something about that if it has one.
