Heya all! I was looking at starting to make some MDF rings for my 4runner today, and when I took my door off I noticed that the speaker sits in a stock plastic ring, but the ring sits on another huge piece of plastic that if you take out the hole is like 6x9 big. How do i go about making a MDF ring for something thats not circle? Heres a link to some pics and at that end it will show what I mean (http://www.hboss.net/4runner/door-panel-removal.htm). That whole black piece the speaker sits on comes out and theres just that big of a hole //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif Thanks for any help //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

On the Ram I used to have it had 6x9's from the factory in the front doors. I just removed the plastic piece they mounted to and cut an oval out of MDF to fill the opening and then cut the hole for a 6.5 mid.

Cut out the hole, and put an 8" midbass in! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif :D //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif :D

Regards,

Gordon.
