Huge Stock Speaker Mount

Heya all! I was looking at starting to make some MDF rings for my 4runner today, and when I took my door off I noticed that the speaker sits in a stock plastic ring, but the ring sits on another huge piece of plastic that if you take out the hole is like 6x9 big. How do i go about making a MDF ring for something thats not circle? Heres a link to some pics and at that end it will show what I mean (http://www.hboss.net/4runner/door-panel-removal.htm). On the Ram I used to have it had 6x9's from the factory in the front doors. I just removed the plastic piece they mounted to and cut an oval out of MDF to fill the opening and then cut the hole for a 6.5 mid.

Yeh im thinking I just need to cut a big oval and just cut a hole out to fit the 6.5's =)

Cut a piece with a jig saw that will cover the opening and mount the speaker to that. Not that hard.

I agree did the same thing with some 6.5" infinity components in a new ram.
