25-06 Ultra Mag with a 250 grain bullet?

First of all 25-06 is no Magnum caliber.... And why the hell would you shoot a bullet that heavy in a gun that light? The trajectory would **** compared to a 120 grain bullet in the same caliber..For God's sake, you are shooting a 25-06, not a .338.

I shoot 165 grain hand loaded Nosler Partitions in my .300 WSM... If I went elk or moose hunting with it, i'd just bump it up to a 180 or 220 grain bullet.

Something about your statement doesn't fit right.

First off, Awesome buck! That is a once in a lifetime buck for anyone...I'd much rather take a 180" typical than a 200" non-typical any day. Do you got the score sheet you can post for the buck? I'd like to see what his mass measurements were. Those tines are outstanding..And how old was he??

On the other hand...

A real hunter?

I am as real of a hunter as you will ever be. Killing a big buck does not make you a better hunter than someone else.. However, CONSISTENTLY harvesting mature bucks does.

Over 75% of the biggest bucks I know of killed have been killed by strictly luck. I.E. Walking in, dogs run it out, someone jumps it, etc.

Now when you pattern a buck, and know how to use and when to hunt the sign..That makes a hunter.

Also..Mississippi has only had 180" typical taken..Much different from Missouri.. Compare the B & C deer from MO to MS and there is ABSOLUTELY NO COMPARISON. MO grows much bigger deer..All there is to it..

The buck you posted of mine was at least 4 1/2 years old...Taking bucks like that every year off public land is a major accomplishment... In MO, with that mineral rich soil, there is no telling what kind of rack that joker could have had..

I just wish I had the opportunity to hunt some land like you can in Missouri, Iowa, or Illinois. I am positive I could routinely harvest deer in the 130-150" class yearly.

The odds of anyone taking a buck like you did are VERY SLIM.

But you got him..So congrats!

Well, like you said something just does not sound right. Notice also that he said the he looks nothing like the guy in the photo. I think this guy is a fraud and I know you do as well.

oh sorry i typed that up wrong lol im using a 7mm ultra mag. BIG difference lol. and i shoot that dense of a bullet because we have alot of thick timber up here and a high grain bullet helps out alot.

thanks i was very nervouse when i shot it lol nearly pissed my pants. i said that real hunter thing just as a joke. but as far as posting a pc of your deer i was just trying to compae a nice buck against a monster buck not insulting your kill in any way. that is a verry nice deer for the area your hunting in.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif oh and the mass was an even 4 inches all the way up to the G3's and i dont have a score sheet yet because you have to wait for a 60 day drying period before you can get it officially scored, and i will have to get it scored at the convention in may, but i had a guy that does taxodermy (mounting deer) score it up and thats what he got with deductions, and without it scored 187

well i would bet you know nothing of hunting or gun calibers so unless you can back it up stfu, and if you would like me to prove its me i could take a pic of myselpf holding a sign that has rabbitzombie and the date on it, or you can ask me anything about anything that has to do with hunting and i can prolly tell you.
