only using the "front" rca from the avic... to the "main input" of the eq

The whine get louder and louder when i get the volume up on the eq. As now, i put it real low, cranked my gain on my frontstage amp and push the volume on the deck to the highest point... then it's not that bad... but still... i don't like that

also why does the whine goes away if i don't hook up the sub amp rca? that's just weird...

Well since it gets louder when you turn up the volume on the EQ, that might be your issue. Is your EQ and your headunit grounded to the same location? There's a million different areas where a ground issue could show itself. Go through and make sure all components near eachother share the same ground point and that it's a good ground. Then make sure you ground your RCA's to the H/U's chassis.

yeah they are at the same exact point. been running like that since 6month without any trouble.

but just to make sure, i'll put another wire from that grounding location to the front batt... and ground the rca...

i'll try that on the eq too... eq seems faulty so far

honestly it sucks real bad. There's nothing wrong in the wiring... nothing was wrong prior to putting the new amp... I really don't have the time to work on this

would a noise filter works on the rca? would it affect the sound in any bad way?

Jacob says it might be a ground loop. the sub amp is grounded on the rear batt and the bat itself is grounded to the chasis. Frontstage amp is grounded at the chasis/rear batt ground. could that cause the whine?

lil update on that.

I put a rca noise filter directly infront of the amp rca input and EVERY single noise is gone //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Guess the amp was giving a nasty feedback on the whole system. Now it just sound perfect, i was missing this

to tell the truth.. i went with the cheaper including shipping and that looked complex enough to really handle the problem. that one come with ground wire... but i didn't even need to hook them up

i though i would need to put it between my avic and my eq... i'm not a fan of putting cheap thing between expensive component.. i though the sq would be affect somehow. Finaly, just infront of the sub amp rca make the problem goes away. Doesn't seems to affect the subs sq at all

still my instal is flawless as far as ground loop and noisy thing goes... i'm not saying it will cure any lack of professionalism on the instal... but it does make the nasty noise go away from my 5k amp //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif i can finaly enjoy it a little more
