hu skips at high volumes

the only time I had a hu skip at higher volumes it was not secured in properly.

i dont have the bottow brackets in right now, that may be the cause. but i was listenening to the radio at max volume and it didnt have any errrors. so should i go get a replacement now, or go thru the *** trouble of taking off the dash and mounting the bottom bracket?

Unplug the rca cables from the back of the deck, if the unit still skips with a speaker driven off of the internal amplifier, it is a deck issue, if the unit skips only with the rca cable plugged in, look closer at the rca cable and where it is ran. Next look at the amplifier. If it still skips, more than likely it is a internal problem in the cd player. Yes get the unit mounted properly as well.
