HU Help!!

well a buddy of mine was installing some 6x9's and accidentally reversed the polarity and his hu went into protect.. we fixed the polarity and cant get it out of protect.. any hints on fixing this problem? his hu is a kenwood kdc-mp232 if it matters..

our guess is its got a pinhole reset button on the back but i dont wana start ripping it apart and have that not be the problem..
