HU has 4 RCA's; need only 2.

I am buying an adapter for my 07 tahoe to give me Rca outs so i do not have to dice and splice the factory HU. It will give me 4 rca outs for lf rf rr lr (along with a remote wire). I only have a 2 channel amp at the moment and need to get them down to 2 rca's. I assume i want to use the rears and leave the front Rcas hang. Does this sound correct? Or should i Get 2 Y's to take both lefts down to 1 and then the 2 rights down to 1. any have a comment on this?

just use 1 RCA preout and tape up the other 3. simple as that

one rca would be half the signal...

Just use whatever channels you need and don't worry about the other two. If you're getting front speakers, use the front outputs. If rear, use those.
