HU Harness Wiring

normal resin core is fine.

i know about that pocket thats what i was trying to say. i wanted to keep that for my phone and wallet so i cut the bezel. i also floked the pocket so the phone would stop falling out.

I got that ***** soldered. This was my first time and it turned out **** good Id say.

Only issue I had was my own fault. I forgot that I had my IPC106 to solder into the black and yellow wire and I already soldered them and heatshrunk them. Oh well. Its a quick fix.

I picked up some cheap *** 5 piece soldering kit, desolder braid, lead free solder core, and heat shrink for $23 at Radioshack.

good for you. soldering is the way to go when the harness is so short.

FYI -

DON'T EVER USE THESE IN A CAR

they are twist on and they will come off and cause problems.

these are the closed end caps to use:

they crimp on and can be stronger than the wire. these are what most installers use, the most reliable crimp connection available.

I was going to pick up some of those crimp caps, but they only had them in a very massive size that would have taken up all my install room. I still have an IPC106 module and a GPS105 module to install in the dashboard.
