HU equalizer 7 or 3 band

Bass frequencies is 80hz and below. Whether you have a 7 or 3 band adjustment, they'll probably only have 1 band to adjust below 80hz. What are you trying to achieve... because installs have more precedence over processing in any set up, unless you're worried about time alignment.

What EQ are you talking about, specifically? Because, as Vestax mentioned, 7 band and 3 band EQ's will typically only have ONE band that is for bass.....the rest will be higher frequencies. About the only EQ's I can think of that would have more than 1 or 2 EQ bands in the subbass region would be 30 band EQ's.

How much of a difference will that one band in the subbass region make? Well, assuming you use it correctly and not just to boost the signal, it can help and will be noticeable.

If it's a parametric, then ya.....it'd be noticeable since you could target specific problem areas. If it were only a 7 band graphic, it'd still be noticeable but may not actually help any since the bands on the graphic may not be the frequencies that you need.

hey vestax i just checked out your page, 140 w/ 1 idmax sealed is pretty D@MN impressive
thanks man... that was over 3 years ago tho.... the newer mics are a little more stiffer, which probably suggested that the old mics were inaccurate. It was nice to hit that number at the time, especially for a sealed box and a legal reading at the dash. dingaling on the other forums hit 147 db with a similar set up using an Arc 2500cxl. Arc makes some pretty solid amps.
