HU CD Playing Problem

Hey, for some reason the past 2 days, on my Kenwood KDC-x679 when there is even the slightest scratch on a cd it starts playing really fuzzy and stuff (sounds just like a bad burn). No, it's not a bad burn, it's happened on several bought cd's. Anyone know what's goin on? Am i going to have to have it fixed?

I have a similar problem Long version

short version: my eclipse did the same thing, i put in a lense cleaning CD, two days later it worked. Now it's hit and miss...

United radio will fix it for a $94 minimum.

Ok, so my HU is still doin it, seems to be hit or miss if the cd is going to work or not. Should i try getting a cleaning cd or would that not solve the problem?

The lense cleaner got mine from zero reading to hit and miss.

There was a thread on here about a cleaner ruining a HU though. For me it was worth the risk...

Ya, that's why i was wondering if i should use that or not, anyone else have any input?
