That set comes to about the extreme limits of my budget, which is really only about $700. That polk sets comes right under that. This set exceeds by about $100. I feel like one of those newbs who ask everyday about x vs. y speaker.

cnet ranked their top set pretty highly. I think it is the home audio equivalent to SI, IA, FI, etc.

I don't know if there is a "bargain" internet-only home audio manufacturer however.

Would be pretty hard to make an Internet based home audio company truely work... Since most sales are made by the ears....

I have found a few:

orb audio, plus those ones 1loudsuv already mentioned.

I bought rainbow without hearing them first. I think many 'internet age' people buy car audio without hearing it first.

I can kinda see why home audio might be different since the investment is quite a but more.
