Hows this wiring kit?

Oh fair enough, how many amps would that wire cope with then?
Havent seen anybody use that so I really couldnt tell you. Its all in if its true 4 gauge or just a little bit of wire with a thick rubber jacket. You can take a gamble on it and its probably going to do what you need it to do, but you'll probably want to upgrade in the future if you upgrade in power.

IMO just run 0awg and be done with it no need to ever upgrade. Cost alil more now but will be cheaper in the long run. Oh get knu and leave all else alone. Its cheap and its quality. That kits 4awg power wire is prob 8awg just uses a oversized jacket to make it look like 4 awg.

I think recommending brands we have over here is not going to work well.

To the OP - we have a lot of 'wire snobs' on this board who like 1 brand of wire and everything else is inferior.

that kit looks fine.

Thanks, i think i will go with the kit and when its time to upgrade look at how many amps my new sub and amp requires. I've only just got a new car aswell so i don't want to spend ages trying to route a big 0 gauge cable when i haven't even looked how to remove the panels below the doors. My door speaker amp draws 40A and my sub only draws 30A so i still have quite a bit of room to play around with. In my old car i ran a 14 gauge kit which came with my sub i didn't take any notice of the gauge of the wire until recently, the wire was only fused at 20A and it worked fine, not saying its acceptable though.

Im looking into getting a sub with 1000w rms compared to my 300w now lol. What type of amperage would a suitable amp draw?

The difference is knu gives u the correct fuse for the wire and does not try to fool you into thinking it can handle more. This company is lying about what kinda amps this wire can handle so what else are they lying about??? Not worth the risk when u can buy from a legit company.

Well i will just play it safe and install an 80A fuse, then get a new kit when i upgrade. I've just got a new car and want to get my system in asap can't be dealing with the stock any more, i left my old wires in my old car because they was appalling, a 12 and 14 gauge kit. I'm only running 75A at the moment but my sub is lacking and i plan on doing a big upgrade anything higher than 1000w rms for it alone, maybe 2000w.
