Anyone have experience with that brand/seller?

Price looks great. Also, think it would supply enough power for an Orion 2500, plus a component amp? Big three will be done, of course.

may want to email the seller and ask if that alt supplies the desired 180 amps at 2k rpm though. my guess is its rated at 4k rpm or somthing and you have to rev your engine quite a bit to get that power out of it.

eaither that or its "max amps" and not "continious" amps...

I just emailed him and asked what it did at idle.

Think 180 would be enough for the Orion and a component amp, if it does indeed do what it needs to at 2k?

In any event, should be better than the 105 amp (yes, 105 amp) stock alt, right?

What type of number should I be looking for at idle?

2500+600 = 3100 / 14.4 = 215.

i'd get a 215 amp alternator, on paper, thats what you need.

shit all i got is a 90a alt and im guessing thats peak, cuz thats usually how alts are advertized, and req what do you mean conitnuous and max, alt put out diffrent amounts at defferent rpm's, so how would it be continuous?

sometimes what I do, is look through feedback, find someone a month or so ago and email them for more feedback on a particular item...then you get a great un-biased opinion, and they usually have it installed already.
