Hows this for low cost "semi-SQ"?

Most of you know i just got a truck and still havent got the system straight due to money and space constraints. but i think i have a plan here. check it out and lemme know what you think.

Deck is a older higher end alpine with 3 sets of 4 volt RCA's (only need 2 sets though)

Amps Are PPI PC250 For Components And PC275 For Subs.

And here is the stuff i dont own yet.

Boston Acoustics S60 Component Speakers - Car Speakers at Onlinecarstereo.com

2 of these Boston Acoustics G112-44 Subwoofers - Car Subwoofers at Onlinecarstereo.com

and this box Chevy C/K 88-98 Extended Cab Sub Enclosure Custom Dual 12"

Whatcha think?

those ppi amps rock. they're going to sound great, especially with an older high end alpine. If you dont mind giving up modern inputs like usb or mp3 cd's then you'll be happy. I partially regret selling my old eclipse 55060 deck, but I have WAY to much music and needed usb. I personally would look into doing a budget 3 way setup and using both amps for the front stage. even with budget level speakers those amps will make anything sing, and 3way is SOOOOO much better sounding than 2 way. All you need is a cheap 3 way preamp xover, or sell the alpine and get a budget 3 way head unit. Occassionally a clarion dxz 3 way deck will come up on ebay or google for 100 or less, and those are great decks. But for something in the $50 range you can find a preamp that will do the trick with the alpine.

A great budget speaker setup would be some CDT tw-25s tweets (jbizzle has some for sale for cheap), any kind of 2.5''-3'' midrange. hessdawg on DIYMA sells some similiar to ID OEM midbasses for $90 a pair. they come in 2 ohm versions that will work awesome with 2ch amps. Trust me when I say it will completely open your eyes to SQ going 3 way.... and you can do it on a budget. I stumbled across some DLS IR1 and IR3's on DIYMA for a while back for about $100, they blow my mind daily. get something started and just piece by piece it together when you find the good deals and you'll be set.

thats just what i would do, and by would do i mean have done and never looked back.

do midbass in the doors, tweets int he upper doors or whatever stock location thats on axis, and midranges on the dash. you can get mdf ring cutouts for fairly cheap, use those and some L-brackets to secure them to the dash somewhere. If you dont want to cut into your panals then it might be a little more difficult, but certainly not impossible. be creative.

btw which alpine deck?

I thought about going 3 way. Doing mid-bass in the doors and fiberglass a pair of mids and tweets in the a pillars.

I want to find 2 ohm midwoofers , and mids so i can pull all 500 watts out of the 2 PPI's and then find a 2150 to run subs off of.
